To maintain present groundwater quality and the removal of hazards to people and livestock. CAWD will cap your well at 'No Charge'!
Well Shock Chlorination
CAWD can shock chlorinate your wells using provincial and federal guidelines for $75 per well, all inclusive. Only available May - October (Weather permitting)
Beaver Levellers
No Charge up to $500 includes technical assistance for installation of levellers.
Cover Crops
Provide financial assistance in the form of a rebate.
Well Establishment
50% of the cost to a maximum of $1,000 for new wells being drilled. (1 time only incentive)
Fencing
Financial assistance of 50% of fencing supplies for extended, exclusion or rotational grazing. Based on project merit and Environmental Goods & Services return.
Tree Planter and Mulch Applicator
We can provide the use of a tree planter and or mulch applicator for a rental fee of $75 per day per item.
Trees/Shelterbelts & Mulch
50% cost share for trees up to $1500 for 2-10 acre lots; up to $3,000 for holdings over 10 acres in size.
Alternative Watering Systems
Provide financial assistance based on individual merit of project and its benefits to the watershed health.
Projects
Examples include: Alternate Watering Systems; Livestock Crossings; Grass Waterways; Small Dams and Erosion Control.
